Current development activity is associated with the initial Viking 55 bus product, but many aspects will be passed on to future products.
Development projects include:
Biocomposite material applications – Partnering with Rensselear Polytechnic Institute and Union College for material research, and processing options for natural fiber based composites including flax, hemp, and cellulosic options.
Entrance ramp optimization – Partnering with Cornell University to develop novel, fast deploying ramps for all passengers.
Conductive glass – LGM is continuing work on novel conductive glass materials for an improved defrosting process without conventional blower units.
Developing agile manufacturing processes for modular composite chassis designs.
